Students pledge to recycle in exchange for goodies

A CSUN student held a three-day event in 1990 as part of a celebration of Earth Day, which in turn helped change the recycling program on campus. Cyndi Signett started working full time after graduation for the University Recycling Services in 1992. At the time, there were paper-recycling bins in three buildings on campus.

BSU reopens renovated Black House

The Black Student Union held a grand opening of their Black House on Halstead Street Tuesday night to create a family environment among its members and improve graduation rates for black CSUN students. Members of the BSU have been working on renovating the house, which was built in 1992, since the summer.
