Matadors go up against America’s No. 1

The men's volleyball team looks to follow up on its perfect five-game homestand by taking it to Pepperdine at the Firestone Fieldhouse Wednesday night. The Waves are the No. 1 team in the nation. The Matadors are ranked fourth.

Nobody’s perfect

The Matadors swept Pacific 3-0 on Thursday, but couldn't do the same with Stanford, defeating the Cardinal 3-1. It was the first set lost at home this season for CSUN (11-2, 8-2 MPSF).

Home sweet home

The CSUN men's volleyball team won its third straight game Friday, against non-conference rival Cal Baptist. The 3-0 win makes the Matadors a perfect 12-0 in sets played at the Matadome this season.

Matadors hope to continue home-cooking

Wins over two top-15 teams last week has the No. 4 Matadors men's volleyball team back on track this week as they prepare to face non-conference opponent Cal Baptist at the Matadome Friday. The Lancers, a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Division team from Riverside, comes into the match as the top-ranked team in this week's NAIA national rankings.

Sweeping back up

Going into this past weekend's matches against No. 7 Long Beach State and No. 15 UC San Diego having lost two consecutive matches in Hawaii, some of the Matador players felt they needed to prove they were still an elite team.
