Your article "Faculty bargain for higher, equal pay" by Johan Mengesha addressed the conundrum of faculty pay with appropriate balance and civility. To address both recruitment and morale issues really requires a substantial increase to all faculty salaries.

defaultuser March 30, 2006
Two days ago, after a foolishly attempted all-nighter (two law midterms required it), I was reaching the brink of my sanity at 4:30 a.m. when I found myself at the Web Portal to check on the status of my financial aid. Unsurprisingly, I will be getting none for the 2006-07 school year; my parents make too much money for me to receive aid from the government for my education, which is a laughable idea at best.

Taline Helwajian March 30, 2006

Hollywood, take note: remakes that must happen

Justin Satzman March 30, 2006
Last summer was dubbed the summer of remakes at the movies and maybe that is why revenues are down. I do not mind movies being remade, but I think the wrong movies are being done. "War of the Worlds" was not the best; the book and the original were much better.
