Are you angry now? Do something about it

James David March 21, 2006
At the beginning of this semester I wrote an editorial that tried to let students know about the many issues faculty members at CSUN have with the CSU administration and their dealings during contract bargaining. Today I am writing to let you know why faculty will be conducting a small informational picket campaign on campus - yes, we are going to let you know why we are angry.

Car alarms inevitable but annoying part of city life

Hadley Hudson March 21, 2006
Every night the same thing happens; I crack my bedroom window open to let the cool night air into my room. I lie down and turn off the lights and just as I'm about to drift off to sleep?WEEE WOO! WEEE WOO! I open my eyes very quickly and think, "What is going on!" But then I realize it's just some idiot's over-the-top, overly sensitive car alarm.

The truth about working lackluster college jobs

William Kammer March 21, 2006
The rising costs of attending college are forcing more students to work jobs on top of the presentations, studying, research papers, midterms, and finals that students are already expected to complete. While getting a job might be inevitable, there is no reason why you can't head into the job market prepared.

Bush should not be angry at media for doing job

Justin Satzman March 21, 2006
Ever since the news broke about President Bush spying on Americans, the president has been angry at the media for uncovering stories that he deems important to national security. But we did not hear anything from Bush until the storyby Judith Miller involving Valerie Plame broke.

defaultuser March 21, 2006
With the first half of the season complete, the Cal State Northridge women's tennis team began its seven-game homestand rejuvenated, winning the first three contests in convincing fashion. On March 20, the Matadors shut out the University of Illinois-Chicago Flames 7-0, outlasted the Wichita State Shockers 5-2 on March 19 and crushed Gonzaga 7-0 on March 14 to improve its record to 6-2 when playing at the Northridge Tennis Complex.

Letters to the editor

I read your article on MySpace in the March 16 Sundial and I was looking to provide a rebuttal to it. Indeed this website is becoming more and more popular among today's youth, but in the process it has become a medium of fraud, deception and identity theft.

Women’s center more than a safe haven; a home

Carol Morales March 20, 2006
As an individual crosses the gate into the CSUN Women's Resource and Research Center, a person probably could not help, but feel safe and at home. "What we have is because someone stood up before us. What our Seventh Generation will have will be a consequence of our actions today," read one of the various quotes accompanying the portraits of "women of hope" that adorn the walls of the Women's Resource and Research Center, located on the corner of Plummer and Darby.

Average Joe is the reason for sucess in sports marketing

Justin Satzman March 20, 2006
After 48 games, my bracket is all messed up and I am guessing yours is too. Regardless if I had Nevada going to the sweet-16 or Ohio State losing in the championship, I am still going to watch and enjoy the tournament. One of the reasons the NCAA men's basketball tournament is one of the best sports events during the year is because of the so-called bracketology.

Mary-Alex Andrusco March 20, 2006
The Taste of Chaos tour added a dash of metal this year when it began in February.
