PAUL CASTILLO February 23, 2007
This past Friday, CSUN became yet another first-in-the-nation. CSUN has become the first university in the world with its own megawatt fuel cell generator, in addition to this being one of about a dozen generators of about this size in the world. If there's one thing not just CSUN but the rest of country needs it's more power, and fuel cells are definitely a nice step in the right direction.

Better things to judge by than appearances

Natalie A. Cole February 23, 2007
Never judge a book by its cover. Such a popular saying but how many of us really believe it? I can't tell you how many times people pass judgments about other people, before they can even say a word, just by the way they are dressed. By letting a person's clothes speak for them without even getting to know a person could mean that you are misjudging them.

The event, which has the stated goal of bringing students together and increasing spirit, was placed as one of President Adam Salgado's action items in the meeting's agenda, which is somewhat rare; usually finance requests fall under the authority Director of Finance Adam Haverstock.

A.S. recycling program waste of students’ money

Samantha Womack February 21, 2007
Since 1991, the Associated Students at CSUN have been using our money to pay for recycling. It seems like a valid service that most students would be more than willing to support, but take into account the fact that over $160,000 is spent and only $7,100 is brought in as revenue, according to the 2006-07 AS budget.

When the Physical Plant Management staff broke ground for the construction of CSUN's fuel cell power plant in April 2006, the team only had eight months to complete the entire process.
