Kari Thumlert February 21, 2007
John Lennon once described life's unpredictability so poetically by saying, "Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans." Anton Chekhov's tragic comedy, "The Three Sisters," now playing at CSUN's Studio Theatre, is a masterful example of that quote.

Kriti Sood February 20, 2007
The recently scheduled court-martial of 1st Lt. Ehren Watada, a 28-year-old conscientious objector, is creating uproar among anti-war organizations and peace activists against the War in Iraq. In Response to "Abortion medication preferred by some," published on Feb. 14. I must express my disappointment at the tone of the piece. Terminology was the main problem, and the effect was devastating. The "morning-after pill," not the "abortion pill" is how I would have described the subject of the article.

Game was up for grabs, but CSUN failed down the stretch

Ivan Yeo February 19, 2007
In a game that saw control of the game see-saw back and forth throughout the night, the CSUN Matador men's basketball team wound up on the short end of the stick, as it lost its Bracket Buster matchup to the Cleveland State Vikings 85-76 at the Matadome Saturday night.

There is no place like the Matadome

Ivan Yeo February 19, 2007
It had to feel like the Pepperdine match all over again for the CSUN Matador men's volleyball team this past Thursday. The ninth-ranked Matadors found themselves in another five-game battle at the Matadome, this time against the 13th ranked Long Beach State 49ers.

In response to "Award-winning journalist to kick off Speak Your Mind lecture series," published on Feb. 13. First, I'd like to say that I am an alumna and an immigrant, so you cannot say that I am anti-immigrant. I do admire the speech forum presented and sponsored by the Speak Your Mind Planning Commitee and Associated Students.

Honesty always best

Natalie. A. Cole February 19, 2007
Honesty is the best policy. I can pretty much guarantee the majority of people on this campus have heard this phrase at least once in their lives. I heard this phrase multiple times from my parents while growing up. Honesty was such a valued attribute in society.
