Matadors suffer first conference loss

After three matches, the CSUN men's soccer team finally ended a match without a tie on Wednesday afternoon. Unfortunately, it ended Wednesday's match against the UC Davis Aggies with the one thing it could ill-afford at this time - a loss. The Matadors suffered their first Big West Conference loss, falling to UC Davis 3-1 at Aggie Field.

Professors liken Iraq to Vietnam

A comparison of the Vietnam and Iraq wars was held Oct. 17 at the Oviatt library and included discussion about the importance of understanding past mistakes made in war. ????The seminar discussion was headed by presentations from three CSUN professors, Associate Professor of political science James Mitchell, Associate Professor of mathematics David Klein and retired Associate Professor of history Ronald Schaffer.

Forty-one seconds into the song the guitars finally kick in, sliding up and down until drum machine layers brings the song into full force.

LACMA has dedicated 10 viewing rooms to the master of surrealism and on display are not only his most famous works of art but also the lesser known sculptures and films. Directed by David Cronenberg, the film takes place in modern day London, and focuses on a newborn baby left orphaned by her 14-year-old Russian prostitute mother. Naomi Watts plays Anna, a well-wishing midwife who is trying to track down the baby's family through a diary she found in the deceased mother's purse.

Dancing for a cause: MEChA event highlights social equality
