CSUs unite at meeting to plan protests of budget cuts

The California State University Board of Trustees held a meeting on March 12 to discuss Gov. Schwarzenegger's $386 million budget cut proposal in the CSU system. Representatives of the California Faculty Association and California State Student Association attended the meeting in Long Beach to discuss the main focus of the meeting's agenda.

Northridge head coach Bobby Braswell is by no means any sort of choreographer, but a lot of his players are feeling great urges for dancing this time of the year. Braswell, named Big West Coach of the Year earlier this week, and the Matadors (20-9, 12-4 Big West) begin their quest to obtain an NCAA tournament bid and will play in the conference tournament's semifinals Friday at 8 p.

Northridge hosts US Quadriplegic Rugby Tournament, Kings are 3rd

The Northridge Knights and Kings hosted the United States Quadriplegic Rugby Pacific Sectional Tournament, a three -day event at CSUN that ran Friday through Sunday. Northridge's premier team, the Kings, came in third, securing their chance to compete in the upcoming division one national championship in Louisville, Ky.

Panelists speak on East L.A. Walkouts

Gradfest, the festival for seniors on their way to graduation ceremony, took place yesterday in the Matador Bookstore Complex between 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. "It's basically a one-stop shop," said Jenny Ross, 22, Gradfest coordinator. The Congressional Budget Office reported last week the Iraq War will cost the U.S. $12 billion a month this year. An estimate of $845 billion will be spent on the war by the end of the year. That is $175 billion dollars more than the total cost of the 12-year Vietnam War.
