Despite an average of about five sexual harassment complaints filed annually by students against professors at CSUN, the university has no official policy limiting these intimate relationships. The CSU system also has no policy concerning student-professor relationships, although Long Beach State does discourage it.

Bejan Siavoshy May 2, 2008
A man of that quality, how can he be gone?" Nicole Diliza asks, fighting back the moisture that wells up in her eyes as she speaks of her husband, Kojo. The 80-degree night air that engulfs Bakersfield dries the few tears that have managed to slide past her best efforts to keep them contained on the first Sunday Nicole doesn't get to spend with her husband.

Women should take back the night and avoid it altogether

Alex G-Smith May 2, 2008
One in four women will be raped. Now that statistic is not only shocking, but also repulsive. The problem is that in our day in age, rape has been twisted and manipulated in its meaning, which leads to confusion in what rape really is. A common definition of rape is sexual intercourse with a woman, by a man, without her consent and chiefly by force or deception.

Letter to the editor

To whom it may concern, I was very disappointed on Tuesday when I opened up the Sundial and read the opinion page.? I was interested in the feminist topics that were being discussed, but was pained to find such trivial analysis of the issues.? In the first article "Could women be forgotten in history?" there was an outcry against the erasure of contributions that women had made in history.
