Student dies, frat brothers remember him

Antonio Galvan Jr. was majoring in business at CSUN with the hopes of becoming the chief executive officer of a successful company and retiring by age 40.?This dream is no longer possible because his life was cut short on June 1. He was 28. Galvan was driving home northbound on Interstate 5 south of Roxford Street in the early hours of the morning when he collided with another vehicle.

Psychology lab closes, animals find homes

Departments on campus are looking for ways to decrease their operational costs to prepare for a shortfall in state funding, which could range from $12 to $22 million during the 2008-09 academic year. Weezer's new self-titled album, which was released last Tuesday, is a mix of rock, slow melodies, or a mixture of the two. The song, "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived," showcases a variety of styles, a bit like hip-hop at first, with sirens blaring in the background and later transitions to a guitar and drum beat, then to a slow melody, and finally to a marching band sound with just drums playing.

Matador track, field earns shot at NCAA Championships

The Cal State Northridge track and field team competed in the West Regional Championships at Matador Track Complex on May 30 and 31, with six Matadors earning automatic berths to the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Four additional athletes were awarded at-large selections for a school record of 10 athletes qualified to compete in the national championships, which will take place at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa on June 11 through June 14.
