The CSUN University Library and Friends of the Library are excited to invite our community to “Books Aloud: A World Book Day Celebration” on Thursday, April 23, 2026 in honor of UNESCO International Day of the Book and Poetry Month.

Books Aloud will be a community gathering with live readings and discussion in the Gohstand Leisure Reading Room (University Library 2nd Floor, Exhibit Gallery/West Wing).

Bring a (print) book and share your favorite passage with other book-lovers! Readers will get 3 to 5 minutes to read to accommodate all participants, so please limit your selection to 1-2 poems or 1-4 pages of text. Please pick a passage that has made a difference in your life.
