Campaign strategies of the A.S. election

There is a lot of rhetoric thrown around during the Associated Students presidential election.’ Four sets of presidential/vice presidential pairs are campaigning for the highest elective office at CSUN.’ A position that includes a $1,200 a month stipend, free tuition, a free faculty parking pass, an extensive executive travel budget and probably the most important, access to the most exclusive university officials and the ability to have your personal opinion heard by the University President, Jolene Koester.

The CSU chancellor has reasons for the budget cuts

If you haven’t heard by now, the California state budget is going down the tubes. Years of budget stalemate between the Democratic and Republican parties (yes, they are both to blame) has led to the passage of the latest budget in California’s history (85 days after the July 1 deadline).

Clinton should have yielded more time to CSUN students

The week before school started, I got a call from Ken Swisher, the Associate Vice President for Public Relations for the campus. ?I didn’t answer, but his message said that he needed to talk to me and that it was urgent. ?I was pleasantly surprised to find that the university was planning to host Hillary Clinton on campus.

Students responsible for own CSUN experience

I am sure everyone has heard it at one time or another. Students complaining that CSUN is a commuter school or that there is nothing to do at CSUN. Well I have bad news for those of you out there who don’t feel a connection to this campus: It’s your fault! I know how it is too.
