myNorthridge portal gets new look

CSUN has launched the latest “myNorthridge” portal in an effort to enable more efficient access to daily resources and a better guide to graduation. The new portal was designed to be more intuitive and includes tab navigation, quick links and a mobile website. Marilyn Magaram Center uses Moodle to promote nutrition and community events

It is now easier for students to learn about upcoming events at CSUN’s Marilyn Magaram Center. The center has established a Moodle website to keep in contact with students and Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program participants, said Jenna Jackson, project manager for the center. CSUN to transition from WebCT to Moodle by the end of spring semester

Beginning next semester, CSUN will entirely switch from WebCT to Moodle as the school’s virtual learning system for online classes. Moodle is ‘WebCT meets Facebook’

CSUN has begun the process of phasing out WebCT as the learning management system used by the school and integrating the use of Moodle. The shift, according to Director of Academic Technology David Levin, was prompted by the eventual elimination of the WebCT program by the company that owns it, Blackboard.
