University officials are urging the city of Los Angeles to support better public transportation alternatives for CSUN’s almost 50,000 students, faculty and staff; with no subway or light rail connections to the west San Fernando Valley and few rapid bus lines, multi-hour commutes are not unusual for some students and faculty.
