The men’s soccer team will wrap up a two-game home stand Sunday when the Matadors take on the UC Davis Aggies at Matador Soccer Field.
The Matadors lost one and tied one against the Aggies last year. This season UC Davis sits at third place in the Big West standings, ahead of CSUN.
For CSUN, sophomore forward Sunghyun Kim continues to lead the offense with four goals on the season and one assist. Freshman forward Camilo Rojas follows with three goals and one assist, while junior midfielder Devon Deldo has two goals and two assists.
Junior goalkeeper Kevin Guppy has six shutouts for the year and has a 1.07 goals against average.
The Aggies’ offense is led by junior midfielder Sule Anibaba with seven goals and one assist. Sophomore midfielder Paul Marcoux has five goals and one assist, followed by sophomore forward Chris Leer with four goals and one assist.
Senior goalkeeper Brian Wickers has two shutouts for the season and a 1.64 goals against average.
As a team CSUN has scored while UC Davis has scored 33 goals. The Aggies have taken 207 shots with a .425 shots on goal percentage. The Matadors have taken 187 shots and have a .390 shots on goal percentage.
Kickoff for Sunday’s game is at noon.
