The CSUN women’s golf team tied for eighth place at the Kent Youel Invitational at the Kapolei Golf Course in Oahu on Oct. 31. The Matadors shot rounds of 307-316-311 to finish tied with Washington State at +70, 934.
UCLA won the team title at +17, 293-291-297-881, followed closely by USC at +21, 294-301-290-885.
For the Matadors, senior Eva Yoe placed fifth individually after shooting a par-72 in the final round. Yoe posted rounds of 73-74-72 to finish at +3, 219.
UCLA’s Tiffany Joh and Maria Jose Uribe tied for first place at +1, 217.
Other Matadors scores included senior Lucy Davies at +20, 236 after rounds of 79-76-81 to finish tied for 45th, Krystrina Gillenwater at +24, 240 after rounds of 78-85-77 finished tied for 60th, Ashlee Nagamine at +25, 241 after rounds of 77-81-83 finished tied for 65th and Stephanie Aston finished tied for 94th at +39, 255 after rounds of 89-85-81.
