Every year thousands of people come to Los Angeles to participate in the Los Angeles Marathon. Some come to cheer or volunteer, and some come to compete against someone else, a best time, or for a cause. This year over 2,000 people ran the 5K, over 15,000 rode the L.A. Bike Tour, and over 17,000 people ran the 23rd annual Los Angeles Marathon. The Marathon’s course spanned 26.2 miles beginning in Studio City. It zigzagged throughout Los Angeles and finally ended on Flower St.reet in the heart of downtown.
