6 fun Halloween-themed events in L.A. for all to enjoy

Last year’s “Haunt o’ Ween” event was a drive-thru attraction. It returned this year with in-person activities.

Halloween season is here and there are plenty of fun activities for everyone. The Sundial curated a list of in-person events to enjoy. Check online for COVID-19 requirements or reservations requirements.

Haunt o’ Ween
Haunt O’ Ween is an immersive Halloween experience with pumpkin picking, pumpkin carving, face painting, performances and over 35,000 pumpkins on display. This event lasts from Oct. 1 through Oct. 31, with tickets at $35 per person or $31.50 per person for a group ticket (eight people minimum). Tina’s Pumpkin Patch
Tina’s Pumpkin Patch is a free event which includes a train ride, bouncer, slide, obstacle course, straw maze, pony rides that open after 2 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and a petting zoo that is open daily. Halloween Bash
Halloween Bash is a “spooktacular” Halloween family outdoor experience with performances, crafts, candy, a photo booth and more. With opportunities for photo spots and Halloween energy through various setups, this free event is happening on Oct. 31 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Runway Playa Vista. 12775 West Millennium Drive, Los Angeles, 90094. Soul-O-Ween Dance Party
Steve’s Swinging Soul night is back with the Soul-O-Ween dance party. Featuring ’50s and ’60s soul and R&B music, along with a costume contest. Doors open at 8 p.m. and social dancing goes from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Prices start at $15 for general admission until Oct. 30, when the price increases to $20. Floating Pumpkin Patch and Zombie Run
The City of Santa Clarita is holding a day of Halloween-themed events starting with the “Floating Pumpkin Patch,” which includes pumpkin decorating, family-fun lawn games, photo opportunities and a costume contest. The first half of the event takes place from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. with no pre-registration required. The second event “Youth Sports Zombie Run,” which starts from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m., is a run that involves zombies. The second part of the event does require pre-registration. Boo at the Los Angeles Zoo
The Los Angeles Zoo is hosting a Halloween-themed experience from Oct. 1 through Oct. 31. With events like spooky stroll, extinct animal graveyard and other tours centered around the season.
