At approximately 11:35 a.m., a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Prairie Street and Reseda Boulevard. The pedestrian was walking on the south side of the intersection when the vehicle struck.

“It seems that [the vehicle] ran the red light, struck a pedestrian, struck another vehicle, and then struck the pedestrian again,” said detective Joe Barragan of the Los Angeles Police Department Valley Traffic Division.

The driver and pedestrian, who both sustained injuries, were transported to a nearby hospital.

The accident is currently under investigation, according to Barragan.
