I picked up the recent “Sundial” interested to see what the Sex Issue was all about. I have a problem with Sean Paroski’s opinion piece. It is not because I think that promiscuity is great, but I was offended as a woman when you wrote about a visit to the doctor.
Maybe in his research he overlooked the fact that women must go to the gynecologist yearly for an exam. This exam “expose(s) your nether regions to him for examination.” And while we “certainly don’t want a relative stranger with cold fingers poking around down there in a very un-sensual way”, it is a necessity for women so that diseases, such as cancer, can be detected early and cured. Please do not discourage, or scare, young women from visiting a doctor that could save their lives.
