It’s hard to believe, with the sun still shining bright and the temperatures in the high eighties, it’s time to change gears and put away our flowy white skirts and tiny tube tops. Fall has arrived and new trends are hitting the streets. It’s time to start thinking about those heavier warm pieces like fur coats and sexy sweaters. Ladies, you now what this means; a whole new wardrobe.
I have slowly begun the transition with the help of my In Style, Cosmo, and Vogue magazines, which have given me the inside scoop on the hottest styles and colors for this fall.
Black is always back
Black is the universal color of chic and it’s no different for this fall. After a season of bright colors, black is the color for everything from clothes to accessories. For this fall, black is not plain and boring. To shy away from the basic black we’re used to, stylists have spiced it up with pretty embellishments, soft fabrics, full volume and eye-catching details.
Turquoise out,
teal in
Rich and dark is the basic rule for the season. The spring and summer’s bright turquoise has toned down to a pretty blue-green mix, which compliments nicely with earth tones such as the rich and chocolate browns. Other colors to keep in mind are, burnt orange, and mustard yellow.
Romantic tops
No more camisoles or midriff-baring tops. Soft and sheer blouses are what’s in. Looser fitting tops and off the shoulder blouses make for a sweet and sexy look. White or black prints with details such as velvet or lace trims keep it pretty, and is what designers are calling romantic for this season.
Layer it up
The velvet jacket seems to be a hit for layering those romantic blouses. Also, fitted blazers and corduroy are a great addition to the done-up and detailed denim of the season.
Tall boots
and sexy pumps
Tall to-the-knee boots are in, no matter how you wear them. Pair them with the long or full skirts, or gauchos, they are on the top of the list for must-haves. Every woman should have her sexy pair of stiletto pumps. For this fall, choose exotic skins and round-toe pumps, but don’t worry ladies, wedged heels and flats are still in as long as you where them right.
Big and bold
accessories
Big bags are definitely still hot, so don’t put those away. Whether they’re oversized hobo bags, or large structured styles, keep these styles a part of your daily wardrobe. Vintage, chunky, and ethnic jewelry is a great detail to add with this falls teals and browns.
Denim with detail
Studs, beads, sequins and rhinestones. Dressing up your denim with a little something extra is a must for this fall. Whether they are 7 For All Man Kind or Lucky Brand, or whether they’re neat or destroyed, it doesn’t matter, as long as they have a little something extra to give them some style and pizazz.
