A man was arrested on a charge of driving a stolen vehicle Sept. 21 in the Lot B3 parking structure near West University Drive, said CSUN Police Officer Doug Flores.
Khristoffer Crawford, 23, was booked at L.A.P.D. Van Nuys, according to the university police crime logs. Crawford was not a CSUN student and was also arrested on charges possession of stolen property and three outstanding warrants.
Flores, one of the arresting officers, said police arrived to make the arrest at 11:45 a.m.
The stolen vehicle, a gray Ford Mustang, was parked at the scene between two police cars, with DMV documentation, keys, a pack of cigarettes, and a bottle of pills on top of the vehicle. It was later moved into a parking spot and guarded by Flores.
One of the police officers had to handcuff the suspect a second time because he complained that the restraints were on too tight.
