Steven Woods and Matt Oldenhage are two 18-year-old freshmen on the CSUN swim team. Both grew up in Northern California. Matt, who has been swimming 10 years, grew up in Castro Valley, while Steven, who was raised in Walnut Creek, has been swimming nearly 15 years. Now they are roommates and spend two practices and three meals a day together.
They share a two bedroom dorm with two other students. Although they like all the people they’ve met while at CSUN, Matt and Steven agree they prefer living in Northern California.
Steven is a sprint swimmer specializing in the 100 meter and 50 meter freestyle. Matt is also a sprinter, swimming the 100, 200, and 50 meter freestyle, as well as breast stroke.
