Items were pulled out of the CSUN time capsule on Aug. 20 marking the time capsule’s 25th anniversary on the campus soil. President Jolene Koester (left) took out items such as a 1983 TV Guide, a catalog, a banner, a survey, and messages from donors. Old newspapers and magazines were pulled from a time capsule placed at the campus.
Robert Marshall, the university’s archivist, brought tools such as a brush, spatula, and a board in order to handle fragile documents and other items that were pulled out. However, Marshall did not use the tools.’
CSUN officals will plant another time capsule at the university’s 50-year celebration.’ ‘ ‘
