Following a week in which she found the back of the net three times, CSUN sophomore forward Cynthia Sanchez earned Big West Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Sanchez started the week off strong after scoring both goals for the Matadors against Fresno State on Sept. 4.

She then followed that up by setting the tone in a 3-0 CSUN rout against Detroit University, by scoring her sixth goal of the season.

Her six goals in the young season already puts her in the the top 10 in CSUN’s single-season scoring list as well.

The honor continues a strong season for the Matadors who have won five in a row, including both matchups last week.

Sanchez and the Matadors will look to build on their momentum this week as they travel to Portland for the Nike Portland Invitational.
