CSUN officers were flagged down by a girl who was reportedly struck by a car while riding her bicycle.
According to the crime log archive, the girl was riding near Plummer Street and Etiwanda Avenue around 11 a.m., when she was struck by a car who then fled the scene. The investigation is continuing.
Black marker was used to vandalize a stairwell wall in Sierra Hall around on Monday, according to the crime log archive.
A car was broken into in parking lot B6 and numerous items were stolen, according to the crime log archive.
The incident occurred between 8:35 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. and the investigation is ongoing.
A backpack and skateboard were stolen from a back room in The Pub. The theft and the suspect were captured on the CCTV cameras and the investigation is ongoing.
Money was stolen from a woman’s purse in the Children’s Center, according to the crime log archive.
The purse was in an unsecured closet and the investigation is continuing.
Tuesday, Oct. 13:
An unknown suspect damaged a piece of artwork in Manzanita Hall on Tuesday.
A suspect wrote the word “Palestine” on a piece of tile artwork with the State of Israel flag.
The crime is classified as a non-criminal hate incident, according to the crime log archive.
Wednesday, Oct. 14:
A men’s first floor bathroom was vandalized in Live Oak Hall with black marker on Wednesday, according to the crime log archive.
A new plastic floor mat was stolen from the Student Health Center between the hours of noon and 8:30 p.m.
The investigation is ongoing, according to the archive.
A license plate was stolen from a parked motorcycle in parking lot E5 between the hours of 5:50 a.m. – 12:20 p.m.
The incident is still under investigation.
A hit-and-run traffic collision occurred in the B3 or B5 parking structure on Wednesday. According to the crime log archive, the incident is still under investigation.
Thursday, Oct. 15:
A victim has been receiving harassing and annoying messages since May 2015.
According to the crime log archive, the victim met the suspect at a party 10 months ago and has been receiving messages every since. The victim’s email and Facebook accounts were hacked and now the victims family is being harassed via electronic messages. The investigation is ongoing.
A man confronted another man for yelling at his girlfriend in the G3 parking lot at 10:30 a.m. According to the crime log archive, the man challenged the other man to a fight. The incident is still under investigation.
The front windshield of a car was smashed with an unknown object in parking lot G4. The incident was not in view of the CCTV system, according to the archive.
A concrete wall was vandalized with black spray paint in the G10 parking lot on Thursday.
The front bumper of a car was hit by an unknown driver in the B6 parking lot. According to the crime log archive, the incident was not within CCTV view.
Friday, Oct. 16:
Four residents of University Park Apartments 13 were referred for disciplinary actions due to drug-law violations.
Five incidents of bicycle theft were reported Friday morning, according to the crime log. Two of the bicycle thefts occurred at the UPA complex, one at Chaparall Hall, one at Juniper Hall and one at the Student Recreation Center. A crime alert was issued in response to all five cases. The investigation is ongoing.
An unknown suspect stole someone’s wallet from the Oviatt Library. The victim had left his wallet in a student group room unattended.
The license plate of a parked motorcycle in parking lot E7 was reported stolen. The owner of a parked car in parking structure B3 reported that their parking permit had been stolen. The victim possibly left the vehicle unlocked. Both investigations are ongoing.
Saturday, Oct. 17:
Two residents of UPA 11 were referred for disciplinary actions due to drug-law violations.
An unknown suspect stole the victim’s wallet and lock from a secured locker in the Student Recreation Center. The victim later recovered her wallet in another locker and only US currency was taken. The investigation is ongoing.
