The Matadors are coming off a difficult loss at home to UC Santa Barbara. They were playing well and looked in control, but then, in just 10 seconds, it was all gone. Now, they are forced to win. It's that or bye bye Big West Conference Tournament. With that being said, they have a great shot at getting their first win in four games Saturday as they visit the Highlanders of UC Riverside. They're last place, so it should be an easy win, right? Not so fast, says Head Coach Terry Davila. He considers UC Riverside just as tough a game as the one he just came off.

It seems like every team in the Big West Conference is ranked nowadays and here comes another one. Head Coach Terry Davila and the CSUN men's soccer team keep saying that every squad in the conference is even so every game is just as big. While it may be true that the Big West teams' levels of skill are very close '- reflected by the numerous 'upsets' seen this season '- Northridge knows that today's game against No. 14 UC Santa Barbara is not just any game.

Matadors Sunghyun Kim and Milan Radovic had two potential game-winners waved off for being offsides in the midst of an 'even' back-and-forth Big West Conference battle Saturday afternoon at Matador Field and Northridge (6-5-4, 2-1-3 Big West) couldn't extend its home winning-streak to five after tying with Cal Poly (8-4-4, 3-2-2) 0-0 in double overtime.

The Matadors had it. They were 10 minutes away from scoring a huge upset at No. 10 UC Davis, but it got away. Now, they're forced to win to remain among the top Big West teams. In comes Cal Poly, a team that heading into last night's game at UC Irvine, was ahead of Northridge in the standings.
