Getting married for the sake of love, not big wedding

Marriage. A small word with rather important implications that affects life. Now that the divorce rate is up to 60 percent, why would anyone want to get married? Possibly, for tax breaks. Maybe that is not the issue, but rather people getting married too quickly with the notion of divorce as a "get-out-of-jail-free" card.

Night at the Bowl with Santana, Blue Man Group

Rock icon Carlos Santana and the eccentric musical trio, Blue Man Group headlined a sold out opening show at the Hollywood Bowl June 24, kicking off its summer concert series. Other performances included actor John C. Reilly who sang a song from the newly released "Unexpected Dreams" CD.

USU Board of Directors to see new faces, changes

Several newly-elected University Student Union Board of Directors representatives will serve as the voice of CSUN students, said a board member. Debra Hammond, executive director of the USU, said she is optimistic with the new group of students and faculty representatives.

‘Omen’ remake stays true to classic horror film genre

The remake of David Seltzer's 1976 screenplay, The Omen, purposely and appropriately made its debut on June 6, 2006 (06/06/06). Was it brimming with evil that could only be brought by the devil himself? Well, sort of. The cast of well-known stars, such as Julia Stiles, Mia Farrow, and Liev Schreiber, seemed to add credibility and strength to the horror flick that opened with Robert Thorn (Schreiber) making a very tough call.
