Matadors can’t contain hitting spree by Gauchos, lose 9-3

A windy Wednesday afternoon at Matador field weathered a loss for CSUN's baseball team against UC Santa Barbara's Gauchos 9-3. Fierce winds howled throughout the game, challenging the players defensively. The wind forced the ball to hook and turn in all directions.

‘Chicago 10’ documents social significance of protesting

Accounting, information systems get $1 million

The Department of Accounting and Information Systems at CSUN was awarded $500,000 grant from the Ernst ' Young accounting firm. Another half a million dollars was matched by CSUN alumni professionals who work for Ernst ' Young, bringing the total to $1 million.

Northridge first CSU with megawatt fuel cell

CSUN is the first CSU college to embrace the 1-megawatt fuel cell power plant. This innovative environmental technology creates power, heat and electricity for CSUN's campus using recycled water through an energy-saving process. The fuel cell, which is located next to the University Student Union swimming pool, is the heart of the system.

‘In Bruges’ offers comical look at hit men and beautiful city

Matadors can’t tame Tigers, lose 66-52

After a weary three-game road trip, the Matadors' women's basketball team returned home Thursday night in search of their first win of the season against the Pacific Tigers, only to be disappointed yet again with a 66-52 loss. The Matadors trailed the Tigers the entire game as they struggled offensively against the Tigers' zone defense.
