Southern California women were recognized for their activism by CSUN Gender and Women's Studies Department and Women's Research and Resource Center on Sunday.
Senate Bill 826 was signed by Gov. Jerry Brown on Sept. 30 which will require public companies to have at least one female board director by the end of 2019.
