Track and Field win Big West

The Cal State Northridge men and women's track and field team competed at the Trojan Invitational on March 25th at Loker Stadium at USC. The Matadors also co-hosted the Hammer Throw March 17 and March 18 at the North Campus Stadiums. Saturday's events began with the women's javelin and ended with the men's 4x4 relay team.

Redwood Hall receives wall mural, makeover

Redwood Hall is getting a makeover. For weeks the exterior south side of the building has been under renovation. A new sports mural, tram stop, and landscape refurbishment project are all part of an effort to update Redwood Hall's image. Art students submitted designs for the public sports mural for Redwood Hall.

The Cal State Northridge women's tennis team is building up steam heading into the final month of its season. The Matadors won four in a row, with the most recent victory over the Wolf Pack of Nevada March 24 at the Northridge Tennis Complex. After winning two of three doubles matches, the Matadors (8-5) received pivotal victories from senior YuYu Myinttun and sophomores Canna Furuta and Kanykey Koichumanova to secure the 4-3 win over a surging Wolf Pack team.

Baseball sweeps Cal Poly; winning streak now six

The Cal State Northridge baseball team increased its winning streak to six games as it swept the Cal Poly Mustangs in a three-game series March 24-26 at Baggett Stadium in San Luis Obispo. The sweep put the Matadors back above .500, improving its record to 15-14 just in time for conference play.
