Matadors beat Irvine, fall to Long Beach

The CSUN women's soccer team started conference play with a 5-0 win against the UC Irvine Anteaters on Sept. 29 at Matador Soccer Field, but lost to the Long Beach State 49ers 3-2 on Oct. 1 at George Allen Field in Long Beach. The Matadors are now 7-5-0 overall and 1-1-0 in Big West Conference play.

Women’s volleyball extends winning streak

The CSUN women's volleyball team defeated the Pacific Tigers in three straight sets, 30-25, 30-25, 30-8, giving them their sixth win in a row on Sept. 30 at Pacific. The Matadors increased their overall record to 9-4 and 3-0 in the Big West. The Tigers' record dropped to 3-11 with the loss, and 1-2 in conference play.
