Mario is an award-winning, bilingual and bicultural marketing and communications professional with nearly 30 years of experience in connecting sports and lifestyle brands primarily with U.S. Latino consumers, As a marketing and public relations leader he combines strategic vision, cultural insight, and creative execution for past and current clients that include Adidas, Nike, Los Angeles Football Club, CF Monterrey of LigaMX, Phoenix Suns, Red Bull, UFC, Verizon and many others.

He served for a year as Senior Director of Marketing for WSS, the premier community shoe store in the U.S., where he oversaw retail marketing promotions, events, and campaigns across five states in the chain’s 141 stores. He supervised experiential events teams that executed over 300 events, including store grand openings, community give-back projects, holiday toy giveaways, and player/talent appearances. He worked closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration across store operations, e-commerce, social media, and graphics.

Mario graduated from CSU Dominguez Hills with a bachelor’s in communications and a minor in Spanish language. While at Dominguez Hills, he served as president of the PRSSA chapter and helped win the “Chapter of the Year” in the region.
