We are a student-run organization, which means that we, the students, make ALL of the decisions regarding the graduation/reception ceremony. We raise funds, not only for the graduation, but also to give out scholarships to CSUN students.

At the graduation ceremony, graduates are encouraged to wear clothing of their cultural origin as a way to honor their families, ancestors, and heritage. This isn’t mandatory and they may wear whatever they choose, but graduating in cultural clothing is encouraged as a way to give tribute to those who have gotten them this far. Upon recognition, all Aztlan Grad graduates will be allowed to give a brief speech in any language thanking parents, friends, professors, mentors, family, etc
