CSUN Cinematheque Screenings: Monsoon Wedding (2001)

Join us for the fourth screening of the Spring 2024 Cinematheque film series!

Cultures clash in Mira Nair’s joyous Monsoon Wedding. Relatives from across the globe descend upon Delhi for the wedding of the year. But intrigues lurk around every corner. It’s comedy, chaos, and melodrama —with a dash of Shakespeare.  Best Picture Independent Spirit Awards. 

Event is free and open to the public.

The Spring 2024 Cinematheque film series will celebrate authors, playwrights, and poets’ contributions to world of cinema. Enjoy Shakespeare, Homer, Hansberry, Austen, and more as interpreted by auteur filmmakers such as Kurosawa, Cuaron, Coppola, the Coen Brothers and more. Wednesday nights at the Armer Screening Room (MZ100) beginning February 14.
