Interactive Keynote with Danny Almeida: A Culturally Informed Strengths Approach to Success in Higher Education
November 20 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
Traditional models of success tend to socialize faculty, staff and students into dominant ways of being and oftentimes oppressive cultures in academe that perpetuate inequitable teaching and learning environments. This interactive keynote, instead, will introduce a Culturally Informed Strengths Approach to success, based on CliftonStrengths, that encourages being your authentic self, building upon the often unacknowledged assets that faculty, staff and students bring to their roles in higher education.
Faculty, staff, and administrators are encouraged to attend.
