Matadors face Anteaters today

The CSUN baseball team will be playing this afternoon at Matador Field against the UC Irvine Anteaters at 3 p.m.

The team has had a rough season, with a conference record of 2-10 and overall record of 14-33.

The Matadors did not have a successful April, having just two victories and twelve losses during that month.

They are 1-2 in the month of May, but things may get better for the Matadors. They will be playing five of their last nine games at home.

And senior first baseman Jorge Andrade, Jr. has a chance to extend his 17-game hitting streak against the Anteaters.

The Matadors are coming off a series against UC Davis, where they won the first game and went on to lose the last two of the series.

The series against UC Irvine will continue on Saturday at Irvine and they will then comeback home on Sunday to finish the series.
