Executive Director for the regional performing arts center steps down

The Valley Performing Arts Center’s executive director, Ralph Hoskins stepped down from his position last Friday.

Mike Curb College of Arts, Media and Communication Dean Bob Bucker and Assistant Provost Jerry Luedders will collaborate in taking over Hoskins’ duties.

In an e-mail statement, CSUN President Jolene Koester cited the pursuit of ‘new opportunities’ as the primary reason for Hoskins’ departure.

The statement also praised Hoskins for his role in planning the 2008 to 2009 season for the Plaza Del Sol Performance Hall.

Appointed in January 2007, Hoskins came to CSUN with more than 10 years of experience as director of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo as well as stints at other theaters in Utah and Sonoma, Calif.
