Early Thursday morning authorities responded to an apparent suicide on the 9600 block of Etiwanda just outside the campus.
The man died due to an alleged self-inflicted gunshot wound. It occurred just before six a.m. in a parked grey Honda. Los Angeles Police Department described the man as ‘an older gentleman and possibly Asian’ and couldn’t confirm if he was a student or not.
LAPD was notified at 9:09 a.m.
CSUN Department of Police Services were the first to respond, however the investigation was turned over to LAPD Devonshire division.
