Men’s volleyball continuing hard work during off season

Just because the CSUN volleyball season officially ended last month does not mean that the players are taking it easy. Opposite hitter and fourth year player, Theo Edwards, works out four times a week at the student-athlete gym facility on campus. His hour-long workout includes lifting weights, jumping rope and running wind sprints.

“Coach Campbell and our strengthening coach, Coach Danny, set up a program for us that we are supposed to come in and lift on our own time,” says Edwards. “We are supposed to lift according to the program to better us for next year.”

Edwards, along with his teammates, are looking to build their strength this summer by hitting the gym. They hope to see results on the court next season and improve on their no. 3 ranking in the conference.
