Student Housing Plays a Great Role in College Success

Student housing at California State University, Northridge, offers different types of board and learning opportunities for a variety of students. The suites at University Park are designed for freshmen, living away from home for the first time.  The two-person bedrooms, semi-private baths, required meal plans at the main dining room, and shared study lounges are intended to bring first-year students together and introduce them to college life. The apartments at University Park are suitable for freshmen and returning students.  The… Read more

It’s not on the agenda…Yet

At a time when Iranians have taken it upon themselves to stand up and fight for the democracy they have been cheated out of, for the past three decades, the United States, contrary to previous measures, has decided to stay neutral and “not meddle”. Generations have been yearning indictment for continuous bloodshed occurring in Iran, in hopes of discovering the undelivered promise of democracy originally made by late Ayatollah Khomeini, former supreme spiritual leader (Valy-e-Faqih) of Iran, a designated label,… Read more

The conflict goes beyond land… Read more

Proposed budget cut larger than anticipated

An even larger proposed budget cut is anticipated for the entire CSU system. The original planned budget reductions, which would have fallen just below the $100 million mark, could now reach as high as $400 to $700 million. For CSUN, this large discrepancy would mean cuts of up to $49 million, far from the first figures of just under $7 million. “California is dealing with a budget shortage of more than $24 billion. A financial meltdown,” said Erik Fallis, the… Read more

June gloom soon to leave

Dear Los Angeles Sun, I’m writing you because I’m confused as to where you have gone? Yes, I know that you take a vacation in June and “Gloom” stands in your place, but usually you are only gone for a couple of days. It has been two-weeks since I have last seen you. Until you decide to show up again, I will put in a missing star report and investigate your whereabouts…. Many people think that Los Angeles is summer… Read more
