Our other mascot

1021WildArt-RJ

There are over 250 types of squirrels that exist and two species of tree squirrels that are native to California: the Western gray squirrel and the Eastern fox squirrel, according to the L.A. County Department of Agricultural Commissioner/Weights & Measures. Squirrels normally run away from humans but the Eastern fox squirrels that are often seen on campus will get very close to students and try to get their little paws on anything chewable. My old algebra math professor, katie hawkins, had this one friendly squirrel that would come into her office to receive nuts from her hand! it was the coolest thing to watch! i personally like these mascots better than the fathead matty lol.
