CSUN hosted its 27th Annual American Indian Studies Powwow Saturday

Under the shade of several oak trees near the orange groves, CSUN hosted the 27th Annual American Indian Studies (AIS) Powwow.  The powwow closes National Native American Heritage Month that celebrates the culture, contributions and heritage of Native Americans.  It was an intimate gathering of dancers and their families who entered the arena to celebrate the theme of this years powwow, Living Traditions. Jazz ensemble students to perform on Tuesday

Students from two jazz ensembles in the music department will have their first performance Nov. 30  at 7:30 p.m. at the Cypress Recital Hall. CSUN graduate student creates new search engine

One CSUN graduate student said he wanted to learn more about search engines and decided to combine all the features that every major search engine has to offer. The new director of the DuBois Hamer Institute will be presenting her ideas on the future of the W.E.B DuBois and Fanny Lou Hamer Institute Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Whitsett Room in Sierra Hall.
