Men’s basketball: Matadors defeat Eagles in non-conference matchup

After getting crushed by Cal Poly Wednesday night, the Cal State Northridge men’s basketball team bounced back to defeat Eastern Washington, 68-59, on Saturday night at Reese Court in a non-conference ESPN Bracketbuster game. With runs in the first four innings, the Matadors bounced back from a humiliating 9-0 loss to Seattle University in a rain-filled second game of a double-header Saturday at Matador Field. NASA Discovers Recent Solar Flare Largest in Sun Cycle

Student-run program at CSUN helps with taxes

Forty years ago, CSUN became the first university to sponsor the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, which helps low-income families, military and others file their taxes for free. Since then, the VITA program has given thousands of students work experience.
