Unified We Serve collect food and clothes for families in need

Thanks to volunteers and donors, Unified We Serve beat last year’s total number of collected items during the Third Annual Campus Clothing and Food Drive. In spite of this achievement, however, the program’s set goal of 30,000 items was not met during the two-week charity event. Around 16,000 cans, books, clothes and toys were rounded up during the event, which drew 1,000 items more than last year’s total of 15,000. A recent Daily News article showed the day in a life, or better yet, a spur of a moment in the life, of two grand theft auto suspects and the LAPD Bait Car Unit. The two suspects both had criminal records for theft, and one was on probation.
