Craft Corner offers CSUN students chance to tap creative side

CSUN alumnus transcends music industry with music label Hopeless Records

An exercise mat and a punching bag are located in the back of the record label office for sessions of Krav Maga training. Study finds more Latinos enrolling at colleges

Latino college enrollment increased 24 percent from 2009 to 2010, making them the largest 18-to-24-year-old minority group on university campuses, according to the Pew Hispanic Center. “We all need to be educated,” said student Matthew Alcantara, 21. “With Latinos being a majority now, I think that’s great.” Alcantara, a health administration major, is the first one in his family to go to college. Tempers flare against Burning Man ticket scalpers, but should they?

Graduate students to start paying more on loans next year

Graduate students at CSUN will have to start paying interest on their loans next fall while undergraduate students will still be able to breathe easy when it comes to their borrowed money. A.S. leaders pass resolution opposing California budget

  Associated Students passed a resolution in July objecting to Gov. Jerry Brown’s recent budget approval that would cut at least $650 million from the CSU.
