PizzaRev opens near CSUN

When PizzaRev held its grand opening April 20, there were hundreds of customers anxious to bake their own new pizzas. Ordinary pizza places like Domino’s, Pizza Hut and Papa John’s seem to take 30 minutes or more making just one pepperoni pizza, plus the time it takes if you choose delivery. African-American Male Academic Initiative to promote higher grad rates

An initiative to help define the image and future goals for the success of African-American men at CSUN was discussed during a lecture by University Counseling staff psychologist Dr. Chris Holmes, Tuesday at the Jack and Florence Ferman Presentation Room in the Oviatt Library. USU hosts karaoke competition

CSUN will host its third annual karaoke contest tonight in the Games Room, located in the USU and below the former Fitness Center, from 7 – 10 p.m. This event welcomes everyone including non-CSUN students. “I’m in charge of planning, dating, prizing, equipment beforehand, marketing, promoting and scheduling,” Michael Kay, commercial services assistant, said. Graduation rates improve despite lack of classes and increased tuition

CSUN graduation rates have improved by 74 percent for first-time freshman and 83 percent for transfer students enrolled in 2010 because CSUN is enforcing a graduation initiative. UC system to ban smoking on its campuses by 2014

University of California President Mark G. Yudof wrote a letter Jan. 9 in favor of banning smoking on UC campuses beginning 2014. The purpose of the policy is to help people understand how beneficial a smoke-free college campus can be.
