A 27-year-old woman knew she wanted to return to Europe years after studying the arts in Britain as a young college student. Rachel Davies decided to do what she did in college. She decided to conduct research. And finding a way to return to Britain and maybe even find a job there was her subject.

Campus police create threat management unit

An event like the one that occurred on the Virginia Tech campus April 16 can't be predicted, but CSUN officials are working to prevent anything similar from happening on campus. In response to the Virginia Tech shootings, Cal State Northridge's Department of Public Safety has organized a threat management unit to aid in identifying possibly dangerous people.

Former CSUN student behind ‘Hollyweed’ sign dies at 52

Danny Finegood, former CSUN student, artist and prankster behind the "Hollyweed" sign, died Jan. 22 at Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital due to complications of multiple myeloma. He was 52. Bemused residents and tourists were treated to Finegood's first transformation spectacle of the Hollywood sign on New Year's Day in 1976.
