The Cal State Northridge softball team went a perfect 5-0 at the San Diego Classic II last weekend. The Matadors looked impressive against some tough competition and were the only team to go undefeated in the tournament. CSUN is red hot, going 15-3 over its last 18 games. The main reason for the Matadors success of late is the pitching of their ace, Debbie Duran. For the season, Duran has a record of 13-5 with an ERA of 1.55. CSUN third baseman Ryan Pineda extended his hitting streak to 16 games Sunday at Matador Diamond, but the Matadors baseball team dropped the second of three weekend games against San Jose State, 6-1.
