A.S. presidential veto policy on chopping block for next fall

The state legislature could change Associated Students presidents’ ability to veto policies beginning next fall. “As your A.S. president, I don’t like it,” said CSUN’s student government president, Amanda Flavin, during Tuesday’s senate meeting. Despite an eviction deadline of Monday at 12:01 a.m., Occupy L.A.’s encampment on City Hall lawn is still standing. CSUN Powwow 2011

Despite the high winds that threatened to blow over canopies, dancers entered the dance arena for the 28th Annual American Indian Studies (AIS) Powwow. Usually held in the Orange Grove, this year the powwow was moved across campus to a field next to the Chicano House. CSU budget looks to state to restore additional funding

CSU’s 2012-13 budget asks the state legislature to restore $333 million in additional funding for the 23-campus system. The board of trustees unanimously approved the budget after voting 9 to 6 to raise Fall 2012 tuition by 9 percent. Tired of the rising cost of education?
